Casual Pub Team Member (Kitchen Assistant & Bar Support)
We’re an independent village free-house with a strong reputation for good food, real cider and ales, and a welcoming atmosphere. Recently recognised as a CAMRA Pub of the Year, we take real pride in what we do—and in the team behind it.
We’re looking for a couple of reliable, friendly people to join us on a flexible, casual basis to help during busy periods, weekends, holidays, and events.
The role:
- Assisting in the kitchen with prep, basic cooking support, and cleaning
- Supporting bar service and front-of-house during busy times
- Helping keep things running smoothly when the pub is at its busiest
No fixed weekly hours—shifts are offered based on business needs and your availability.
There’s usually more work going during peak seasons and holidays.

Location:
We’re a rural pub with limited public transport, particularly in the evenings. We welcome applicants from the local area or nearby villages, and where we can, we’re happy to help with lifts.
What we’re looking for:
- Reliable and punctual
- Happy working in a busy kitchen/pub environment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
- A friendly, positive attitude
Age:
- Ideally 18+ (due to bar work)
- 16–17 year olds welcome for kitchen/support roles (with duties and hours adjusted accordingly)
No experience necessary—training provided. What matters most is a good work ethic and the right attitude.
